Animal de poder

~ ELEFANTE + MARIPOSA ~

African elephant

Elephantidae

Today I learned something new, Do you know why the Elephants have so many wrinkles?

Wrinkles are related to the need to maintain your body temperature. These increase the surface, so it is more skin that gets wet when the elephants bathe. All cracks make a trap for moisture, which then takes much longer to evaporate. Therefore, a wrinkled elephant stays cooler for longer than it would with smooth skin.

How does the Elephant help us as an Animal of Power?

It collaborates with those who have failed to take advantage of the educational opportunities presented to them or have not had the discipline or perseverance necessary to apply the knowledge they already possess. With all of them the elephant shares his enormous patience to start from scratch again. So do not waste time bothering yourself, embarrassing yourself or putting things off. If you've left something halfway, just try again.

An Elephant Advice "Appearances are deceiving. Around you there are many people who can teach you wonderful things that you do not even suspect. Open yourself to receiving unexpected gifts by living more closely with those around you "

Eephant

Elephantidae

The elephant is the animal closest to the human senses because they understand the language of their land, they have obedience to the superior and memory of the trades they learn.

They delight in love and honor and, in a few men, are capable of goodness, prudence, and justice.

They teach us to be resilient in the face of adversity and patience.

Elephants are known for their memory: They remember places and other animals that they saw years or even decades ago. That same privileged brain, allows them to feel and express a series of emotions in a complex way, among them love.

Elephantidae

The longest gestation period of mammals, is that of elephants , reaches 22 months; At birth the calf has a weight of 100 kilos and a height of about 90 centimeters and although at six months they eat solid foods - maman for three or four years. Females tend to give birth to a baby every two to four years. As curiosity, the pups sometimes suck the trunk, as children do with their thumb. The bond established with the mother lasts a long time, and it is normal to observe a female followed by offspring of different ages. Another notable fact is that the offspring are grouped, as in a nursery, under the supervision of a female, while the others feed.

Elephants also need a lot of water: about 100 liters per day, which they usually ingest at one time, even in times of plenty. In arid regions where water is scarce, they excavate the bed of dry rivers to reach the water table. When they leave the place, the wells they leave allow other species to satisfy their thirst. To find water and the amount of food needed, these large animals explore vast tracts of land. In spite of their heavy aspect, they are quite agile, and at a regular pace they travel between 4 and 6 km an hour; But when they flee, or if they are violated and loaded, they can reach the 40 km in short stretches.

Nelumbo nucifera

Magnificent, sumptuous and aquatic, the lotus flower embodies a symbol of purity, harmony, beauty, abundance, wealth and spiritual flowering ... and is considered a plant of good omen.

The closed or button-shaped lotus flower is a symbol of man's infinite possibilities, while the open lotus flower represents the creation of the Universe.
